Is it better to golf with your dominant hand? Or does it matter?

Question: I'm a natural leftie but was taught to golf years ago to use right handed clubs. I golf pretty well this way but I've been wondering if it would have been better if I did learn to golf as a leftie instead. Any thoughts? Andrew - Thanks, I've been golfing now for almost 9 yrs.

Answer: I am a lefty as well, but I have always used my right hand to golf. If you have been doing this for several years already, I wouldn't bother trying to switch to your left hand. I attempted to just hit a few balls that way one time and it didn't feel right. Besides, you've already committed your golf swing to muscle memory with the right hand.
