Gymnastics Grips?

Question: I just got mine and when I put it on my two fingers, is it supposed to be somewhat difficult to put on and feel tight? Also, am I also supposed to not be able to straighten my hand all the way?

Answer: Usually when you get new grips the finger holes are really tight. They might just loosen up as you wear them, but if they're really bad, take some sand paper and rub it in the holes to wear off a little bit of the leather. And personally, I think you should still be able to straighten your hand all the way. My grips fit that way, but some people wear grips where they can't straighten their hand all the way. If the grips work for you though, it doesn't matter how they fit. You may have gotten a size too small...see if you can exchange them, or just try them out for awhile and see how they work. Good luck! P.S. make sure you swing a little bit with some easier skills to break in your grips before trying any harder skills.
