any links or anyone know how people made real wagonwheels for there wagons in the 1800`s?

Question: im just wondering. how do they get the wood go round and the center looks like its made like a barral .how do they do that?

Answer: it takes many years to cure a maple stump for the center hub it was hand carved. the spokes was hand drown with a draw knife then the outer rim (felloes) was hand tooled and cut to less than a 1/64 tolerance usually there was just as many of them as spokes. band it with a hot metal band literally beat in place then rapidly cool. it took over ten years to become a wheeler here is the only thing i could find 14.95 plus s/h
