Question: Ok, so I want a frame that has a handcarved saying on it. The actual pic will be of a little girls shoes on a pier w/sand on them. But the real trick is getting a frame that I can have a saying handcarved around the pic. I assume it will be a large frame. But where do I go to hire someone to do the carving? A frame shop? A woodworker? Where?
Answer: I'd go to a frame shop. You'd be amazed at the ideas they can give you for framing and matting a print/picture. They have some beautiful frames and are always coming up with new ideas for framing not just prints, but even a special piece of clothing your child may have worn.
